How to insert Google AdSense

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to insert a Google AdSense ad on my site?

I tried this:
To do so you have to go into your MBO (administration page) Design -> Advanced Design click on "insert page element" on either both navigation bars, a window will pop up, click on " User-defined page elements" and select Text (HTML) then insert.

The only problem is that it didnt work. Maybe its because its a script?

Someone has any suggestion on how to do this?
